DSM Somos has recently introduced two exciting new clear SL resins to its
product lineup: WaterShed® XC
—a near colorless version of the best-selling ABS-like WaterShed® 11120
material, and WaterClear® Ultra
—now the clearest SL resin available on the market today.
WaterShed XC is a low viscosity liquid photopolymer that produces strong,
tough, water-resistant, ABS-like parts. Most importantly parts created with
WaterShed 11122 are nearly colorless, and look more like true, clear
engineered plastic.
DSM Somos® WaterClear Ultra 10122 is a next generation optically clear resin
with ABS like properties and good temperature resistance. It produces
colorless, functional, accurate parts that simulate acrylic in appearance.
WaterClear Ultra is a fast, low viscosity, general-purpose resin.
In addition, WaterShed XC and WaterClear Ultra have been formulated with the
DSM Somos Oxetane Advantage™—
an advanced chemistry platform that produces parts with outstanding water
resistance and high dimensional stability.
This makes these materials ideal for many applications in the automotive,
medical, packaging and consumer products markets.
