"The future of manufacturing" at Designersblock 2003 for 100% Design

Italian designer Gabriele Pezzini will present at the expo DESIGNERSBLOCK during 100% Design in London, a glimpse of "The Future of Manufacturing: 'Made in China' collection". The design trends of a near future, united in a cultural mix, merge with innovative materials and technologies to stimulate the imagination and expand the consciousness towards new frontiers in manufacturing, form and function. Representing the collection in the United Kingdom will be Monkey Wrench, a unique and appealing fork designed by Gabriele Pezzini.

Presented in WaterShed™ for the fuori Salone (Milan – April 2003) with an appearance similar to etched glass, Pezzini proposes for London a techno ceramic-like Monkey Wrench in evolution. The project, which incarnates the new tactile sensations made possible from a high-tech composite ceramic, will be presented in ProtoTool™ 20L by DSM Somos. The most recent innovation developed for existing Solid Imaging technologies, ProtoTool™ represents a milestone for the industrial world and offers interesting opportunities for design, both for its mechanical resistance and for its appearance.
