Favorable ruling in patent lawsuit for DSM DYNEEMA
The "Tribunal de Grande Instance" of Paris, France has ruled in favor of DSM Dyneema, the inventor and manufacturer of Dyneema®, the world's strongest fiber™ in a patent infringement lawsuit instituted against Hangzhou Pivot International Co. Ltd., of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.

Leading Canadian salmon farmer selects nets with Dyneema®
Twenty 150m Containment Nets with Dyneema® Fiber for Aquaculture Expansion in Newfoundland Waters
DSM Dyneema is pleased to announce that GMG, the manufacturing division of Cooke Aquaculture, a Canadian leader in salmon farming, has selected nets made with ultra-strong Dyneema® fiber to support the company's expansion into the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador. Cooke's Cold Ocean Salmon division has ordered mesh for twenty 150 m containment nets made with Dyneema®, manufactured by Badinotti (Italy).

FDA approved Dyneema® fibers benefit cut resistant glove applications for food processing industry
The recent approval for use of Dyneema® fibers in gloves for the food processing industry coupled with membership of the Dyneema® licensee program allowed AnsellHealthcare to convert to high-performance Dyneema® fibers for cut resistant glove applications. In the Polar Bear® Paw Gard® gloves from Ergo Products, a brand of the Ansell Healthcare group, the ultra strong fiber from DSM Dyneema combines up to ASTM-ISEA Level 5 cut resistance to deliver the superior protection of a heavyweight glove or sleeve with the close, comfortable fit of a lightweight.

Food contact approved Dyneema® fibers gain first adoption in new model cut resistant gloves
The recent approval for use of Dyneema® fibers in gloves for the food processing industry has now commercially been adopted by the market. In the new, highly cut resistant Tuffshield Evolution™ gloves from Perfect Fit, a brand of the Bacou-Dalloz group, the ultra strong fiber from DSM is used in a new, patented composite yarn which combines level five cut resistance with anti-bacterial performance.

Next generation DSM technology selected by American Body Armor for top protective vest model
DSM, a Netherlands-based company active worldwide in performance materials, announced today it is introducing its newest and strongest ballistic material for soft body armor. The new Dyneema® SB61 offers ultra-high energy absorption to provide significantly increased stopping power, as well as the same high level of trauma reduction and aging behavior as other Dyneema® soft ballistic products. The announcement was made at the 2006 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference in Boston.

DSM announces additional production capacity for Dyneema® - the world's strongest fiber
Royal DSM N.V., the largest manufacturer of high performance polyethylene (HPPE) products in the world, today announces its decision to again invest in new production capacity for Dyneema® fiber. The new unit will be built at DSM's facility in Greenville, North Carolina (USA).
The investment will amount to several tens of millions of USD, and will bring the total number of fiber lines for the company to ten.

First use of Dyneema® fiber in off-shore windmill lifting
For the installation of offshore wind farms in the Irish Sea, Mammoet Van Oord, an international marine contractor, selected heavy lifting slings made with super-strong Dyneema® polyethylene fiber from DSM Dyneema. The special round slings, manufactured by the Unitex Group, are designed to lift heavy loads weighing up to several hundreds of tons.

DSM Dyneema Files Patent Lawsuit against Chinese Company
DSM Dyneema, the inventor and manufacturer of Dyneema®, the world's strongest fiber, has filed a patent-infringement lawsuit against Hangzhou Pivot International Co. Ltd., of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, before the Court of Paris, France. Prior to the filing, DSM Dyneema obtained authorization to seize merchandise, including fiber, rope and finished articles, exhibited by Hangzhou Pivot at the Milipol 2005 exhibition on state security in Paris.

DSM Expands U.S. Production Capacity for Dyneema Fiber and Bullet Resistant Material
DSM announced today that due to increasing demand, it will add capacity for Dyneema yarn, DSM's high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) fiber, and Dyneema UD (UniDirectional bullet resistant sheet) in Greenville, North Carolina (U.S.).
