Spall liners

Spall liners made with Dyneema® keep spall damage to military vehicles to a minimum, so the fewest possible casualties are incurred. These lightweight spall liners are fitted in a broad range of tanks, armored personal carriers and trucks used by the dutch, german, swedish, spanish, israeli and danish armies amongst others.

In the event of ammunition penetrating through a vehicle’s armor, spall liners made with Dyneema® will reduce the number of fragments, as well as the cone angle of the fragments, considerably limiting any damage. At the same time, the liners provide insulation from noise and heat.

Spall liners made with Dyneema® are much easier to work with than other types. The panels can be cut and holes drilled using standard equipment, and are easy to shape and mold. In addition, spall liners made with Dyneema® do not affect or irritate the skin in any way.

The ballistic properties of the Dyneema® used in spall liners are not negatively affected by any moisture, such as rainwater, that may seep into the vehicle.
