Hybrane® - The Hybrane® molecule

The Hybrane® molecule
A Hybrane® molecule consist of three elements:

  • building blocks
  • end groups
  • branching elements

The strength of the Hybrane® concept is that a broad variety of building blocks and end groups can be chosen, to build up a Hybrane® molecule. Moreover, it is quite possible to combine different building blocks and/or end groups within one molecule.

Thanks to the wide variety of available elements in both building blocks and end groups, both variables, independently, can be used to design the main polymer characteristics (such as glass transition temperature and polarity over a wide range). In this way, by combining different structure elements, the product's properties can be tailored as precisely as possible to match your needs,

The following presentation gives information regarding the synthesis and structure of Hybrane® and provides you an insight into the possibilities of various building blocks, branching elements and end groups.
