Frost & Sullivan has awarded the European Process Enhanced Engineering Plastics Excellence in Technology Award for 2008 to DSM Engineering Plastics' Stanyl® Super Flow. Stanyl Super Flow (SF) Polyamide 46 was co-developed with leading electronic connector manufacturers to provide a suitable alternative to high flow, versions of liquid crystal polymer. On 1 April 2008 the Business Intelligence group of the DSM Innovation Center won the Business Intelligence Best Practice Award 2007. DSM was selected from over 120 Dutch organizations that submitted entries for the award. According to the jury, DSM's BI practices for innovations are a well-balanced mix of innovation, competence management and competitive intelligence, leading to a better selection of innovation areas and projects and to a reduced time-to-market for new product introductions.
