DSM’s lactotripeptide blood pressure management ingredient, tensVida™, has received another accolade with a win at this year’s European Outsourcing Awards. Judges in the category of Outstanding Application in Nutraceuticals commended DSM’s strategy for developing and launching tensVida with a highly innovative approach. Press release.

DSM has been awarded the international AVK Innovation Award in the Environment category for the development of new, ultra-strong air container panels, RP10 panels, made from advanced composite material technology from DSM. The panels are made with DSM’s Aeronite® resin and Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™. The weight saving offered by the containers can result in a significant drop in fuel consumption for a typical air cargo fleet. Press release.

DSM has announced that ®claryl picture glass was awarded the 2009 ICIS Innovation Award for Best Business Innovation. ®claryl picture glass makes framed pictures clearer, emphasizes colors better and reduces the amount of reflection. On 31 August the PDMA, the leading advocate and comprehensive resource for the profession of product development and innovation, announced that Royal DSM N.V. has won the 2009 Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award. DSM was selected as winner to honour the company's strategic commitment to open innovation and its exceptional skill in continuously creating and capturing value through new product and service development. Maxilact®, a lactase enzyme, has won the 2009 Ringier Technology Innovation Award – confirming its industry-wide recognition as an effective, market leading product. The prestigious award, coordinated by market leading publishing house Ringier and judged by an independent panel of industry professionals, was presented to Maxilact to honour its technical excellence and significant technological contribution to the Chinese food and beverage industry. FIMA GANADERA 2009, the most important feed exhibition in Spain, has presented DSM Nutritional Products with a “Technical Innovation” award for the development of iCheck® Eggs, a unique analytical system for fast quantitative determination of carotenoids in eggs. Press release.

In May 2009 DSM was awarded the international GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition) Business Award for Innovation in Nutrition 2008 for NutriRice®. The GAIN Business Award for Innovation in Nutrition was set up by GAIN and IBLF to recognize a company displaying outstanding innovation in the development of new products and services to combat malnutrition, improve public health and promote sustainable development. DSM NeoResins+ announced that Ad Overbeek, Global Science Manager DSM NeoResins+, has delivered the 2009 Joseph J. Mattiello Memorial Lecture. The lecture formed the focal point of the CoatingsTech Conference held in Indianapolis, Indiana (United States) from April 27-29 and is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the international coatings scientific community, recognizing individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of coatings science and technology. Business Consultancy firm Frost & Sullivan awarded their annual Product Innovation Award to DSM Composite Resins and its Aeronite® Turane resin. The award is chosen according to categories, and DSM won the 2008 Global Aerospace Polymers & Composites division with its latest grade of Aeronite® Turane, designed specifically to meet the needs of Aerospace manufacturers.
