On Friday February 1st, 2008, DSM Elastomers’ new reactive extruder (REX) line
in Triunfo, Brazil delivered its first grafted products. The first samples
have been shipped to customers and commercial production will begin soon.
Next to viscosity index improvers for motor oils, the facility will produce a
range of innovative functionalized EPDM materials for applications like e.g.
plastics modification and adhesives.
The plant is considered top of line using state of the art technologies for
reactive extrusion. The New Reactive Extruder line is fully integrated in the
DSM Elastomers production site in Triunfo.
With the new REX line DSM Elastomers is underscoring their value proposition:
High Quality, High Service and High Security of Supply. With this line they
will have complete control of capacity and quality which will be maintained to
the usual high DSM standards. They will be able to support the plant with the
considerable technological expertise available within the corporation.
