DSM Composite Resins to move its head office to Switzerland
Heerlen,NL,14 Feb 2001

DSM Composite Resins will move its head office to Schaffhausen in Switzerland with effect from 1 April 2001. The company's current organizational structure, with its head office in Zwolle (Netherlands), is at odds with its pan-European strategy. DSM Composite Resins is the European number one in unsaturated polyester resins, with a market share of 30%. It is also the global leader in sizings and binders for the glass-fibre industry.

Customer requirements: service and speed

"Customers in the unsaturated polyester resin market are demanding an ever better and ever more efficient service," says Jos Schneiders, director of DSM Composite Resins. "Being the market leader, DSM Composite Resins wants to meet these requirements. We have therefore decided to combine our sales, purchasing, logistics and planning functions at our new head office in Switzerland." These functions are currently spread over various countries. The choice of location for the head office is in keeping with the company's international character and its plan to base the head office at the centre of its customers' sites and of the company's manufacturing sites and development centres.
