Bernard van Schaik (53), currently Business Group Director of DSM Pharmaceutical Products, has been appointed Director of Corporate Communications in Heerlen (NL) with effect from 1 December of this year.  In addition, Mr van Schaik will be given a number of specific assignments relating to DSM’s Vision 2005 transformation programme.

Leendert Staal (50) has been appointed to succeed Bernard van Schaik as Business Group Director of DSM Pharmaceutical Products with effect from 1 December 2004. Mr Staal is currently President and CEO of DSM Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Greenville (US), a business unit of DSM Pharmaceutical Products.
