Outstanding performance

Micabs® offers many advantages over conventional laser marking additives:
    

• Higher laser marking speed
  The laser active particles in Micabs have an extremely low threshold for absorption of the laser light. This means, marking is possible at higher frequency and higher speed, where every pulse intrinsically has less energy.

• Superior definition, contrast and gray scale response
  The ideal dispersion of the laser active particles with controllled size in the micron range also allows micro marking.

• High reproducibility
  Controlled composition, size and dispersion of the laser active particles always results in the same marking performance and lot-to-lot reproducibility.

The micron-sized laser active particles in Micabs are spherical: there are no sharp edges that can initiate cracks or that have a detrimental effect on the mechanical properties. The particles do not migrate and do not influence the UV stability of the base polymer.
  

Unlike many other laser marking additives, Micabs does not affect the background color of the polymer it is used in. This means no color corrections are required.
