Safe in storage and production
The laser active particles in Micabs are dispersed in a polyolefinic carrier and are therefore the product is supplied in granulate form. This means no handling of powders in the storage and processing areas is necessary. The product can be dry blended or fed directly into the extruder by gravimetric or volumetric feeding systems.
  

Safe in use
Thanks to its unique patented production technology, the laser marking additive in Micabs® is encapsulated in microspheres and cannot migrate out of the polymer, making it safe for direct food contact. Micabs® may be used as an additive in typical concentrations of 1-5wt% in full compliance with the relevant requirements of the US Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act ( FDA 21 CFR 177.1210) and with the EU Framework Directive 1935/2004.

Certificates and statements

• Micabs Certificates of Compliance (COC)
  The material is produced in accordance with DSM's manufacturing specifications. With every commercial delivery, a Certificate of Compliance is issued, listing the following information: customer, order number, product, product type, packaging, batch numbers, and product specification data.
• Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
  The appropriate MSDS is dispatched with every order.
• Compliance Statement of Food contact
  Available on request.
