DSM follows the approach of the industry in adapting the new legislation. This
legislation is aligned with existing EU Legislation on Classification,
Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures and will replace the
current Directives 67/548/EEC9 and 1999/45/EC. The EU deadline for substance
classification is December 1, 2010. The deadline for mixtures classification
is June 1, 2015. The above deadlines are aligned with
REACH.
