DSM Resolve has evolved from various analytical departments within DSM
Research, the research arm of the Dutch-based DSM group. DSM Research was
founded in 1945 and its focus and scope evolved as DSM transformed itself from
a coal-mining company into a chemicals and fertilizers company (in the 1960s
and early 1970s), then into a petrochemicals and materials company (1970s and
1980s) and finally into a global specialty company active in nutritional and
pharma ingredients, performance materials and industrial chemicals (between
2000 and 2005).
In the early days, the raison d’être of the analytical department was to
provide support to DSM Research, but especially during the last decade this
role has gradually changed. Today, DSM Resolve is an independent provider of
high-end analytical services, whose focus is not limited to the products and
activities of DSM.
DSM Resolve is based at Chemelot Research &
Business Campus (Netherlands), which houses an international community of
cutting-edge R&D companies that benefit from our presence – and vice versa.
