Today's corporate environment is such that no one company can best serve its
markets without actively interacting with the knowledge infrastructure that
surrounds it. For this reason, DSM is committed to working directly and
indirectly with a wide range of public bodies, participating in mutually
beneficial networks and addressing important social and scientific issues.
This active public role enables us to gain and share valuable insights in many
different forums around the world, including the following:
EuropaBio
Made up of corporate members and industry associations involved in
biotechnology throughout Europe, the European Association for Bioindustries
ensures a steady flow of information about biotechnology and its environmental
benefits to the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the Council
of Ministers. DSM Managing Board member Stephan Tanda is a vice-chair of the
EuropaBio board.

accounting for more than 30% of world chemical production.
