Our guiding principle
At DSM, the way we do business is

creating value for all of our stakeholders in the long term. This aim requires
us to manage a careful balance between economic, ecological and social
interests, also referred to as the 3 Ps of People, Planet and Profit, or the
'triple bottom line'. In practice, this is a process of evolution in which
harmony is sought between the company's use of natural and human resources,
investment strategy, technological development and organizational change. This
process is made up of a variety of changes, from incremental, short-term
improvements, such as product, process and system optimizations, to broad
transitions or trend discontinuities in the medium and long term, such as
system innovations or technological breakthroughs.
