 Performance characteristics

Friction
Stamylan® UH has a low coefficient of friction and self-lubrication properties that render it very suitable as a sliding material. Most other polymer materials (e.g. PA6, PA66 or POM) have a higher dynamic coefficient of friction than Stamylan® UH.

Furthermore, the Stamylan® UH’s slick surface characteristics prevents caking and freezing on the surfaces of moist/non-free-flowing bulk materials.

Particle size distribution
Stamylan® UH contains less than 1% of particles measuring smaller than 63 microns. Typical particle size distribution, expressed in span (D90-D10)/D50 is 0.8, where other UHMWPE grades have a span greater than 1 as is shown in the figure. This makes Stamylan® UH almost dust free and contributes to its easy processing and coloring characteristics.
