There is considerable public interest in biotechnology - and particularly the
combination of biotechnology and food. DSM takes an active part in the public
debate and its priority is to be open about its own products and production
methods. At the same time, we are still a long way from exhausting the
potential afforded by biotechnology using micro-organisms.
In so far as it is responsible to do so and consistent with
statutory requirements, DSM will exploit this potential to improve
existing products and develop new products. Wherever possible, DSM gives its
customers the choice between products
that are made with or without using genetically modified micro-organisms.
