A 'Big musician'

Her own saxophone

Ellen Brouns, aged 13, was born a dwarf. As she grew up she was keen to learn the saxophone, but because of her short stature this was not initially possible. After a long search, Hen, her saxophone teacher, has now found her a curved soprano sax and this is the instrument on which she is starting to learn.

Ellen now has the saxophone she has always dreamed of, and playing it means a lot to her. Hen says, “ I hope this shows how much people with a handicap can accomplish and that also you can give these people a gift for life.”

A 'Big musician'

On 30 March Ellen, together with Iris Hoefnagels played brilliantly in the presence of Ellen’s proud family.
