The project ‘Horse therapy for children’ provides a therapeutic alternative to
children from 18 months with a broad range of diseases: mental, psychological
and physical disabilities. “It is amazing to see how children with
e.g. brain paralysis by the time they are finishing their horse session are
already raised on the horse, with their legs completely relaxed as a proper
horse rider .”
When many of them did not react before, they suddenly show emotion when seeing
a horse, Francisco notes. “It definitely is an exciting activity to
them. I want to thank the great job that the people behind the Torch program
are carrying out. These social projects are helping out relieving and
improving the lives of many children.”
