SHE Award 2007
The selection process showed five strong
nominees; DSM Biologics, Groningen (the Netherlands), DSM Coating Resins, R&D,
Zwolle (the Netherlands), DSM Anti-Infectives, Egypt, DSM Food Specialties,
Capua (Italy) and DSM Elastomers, Triunfo (Brazil). The last three sites were
ranked closely together.
DSM Anti-Infectives Egypt eventually proved to be the site with the best score
and is the proud winner of the DSM SHE Award 2007. Its strong elements were:
shopfloor involvement, shared ownership throughout the organization,
‘Management of Change’ and emission reduction. They deserve their top position
on the Frequency Index ranking.
DSM Food Specialties, Capua is the runner up, characterized by its being
pro-active, strong on Health and integrated with its local community.
SHE Improvement Award 2007
The nominees DSM Melamine, Geleen
(the Netherlands) and DSM Nutritional Products, Wuxi (China) both made
impressive progress in recent years. Although coming from different starting
points, and so being on different absolute levels, their progress was judged
equal. As a consequence, we are happy to present both as winners of the SHE
Improvement Award.
