Visibility

The initiators: “Road accidents are quite common in Poland. We want to prevent them and reduce the number of children being killed or injured in road accidents. One way of achieving this is by making children more visible as they walk to and from school, which is why we issued students in local primary and secondary schools with safety reflective bands and labels which they can wear on their arms or attach to their school bags.

The day itself
"We started the distribution at the primary school in Mszczonów. We met the representatives of local authorities, education bodies, police and of course children", Magdalena explains.

DSM Torch dreamers prepared the technical details to make the presentations and exercises interesting and nice to the audience. The event started with an educational movie on road safety.

Torch Safety

Ms. Dorota Stalinska, actress and also part of the team, wants the kids to be involved in the open and active scheme. After she had a serious traffic accident, she feels the need to be involved in such programs. Dorota is excited about the program: “It’s amazing that you take care not only to provide the equipment but you also support the educational role of such events. I want to use DSM as an example for other companies to support and participate in such programs”.

After the children had done the tests, they received the safety items with the text: “Better visible, visibly better”. And of course an autograph of Ms. Dorota Stalinska, who is quite famous amongst the students.

On 23 and 24 November two other schools were visited with the same program. In total 1,500 students were given the safety items.
