Solar power

Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes is a village lying 4,000 meters above sea level in Argentina that has been adopted by Lucas Rodrigues, Luis Ayala and Gloria Marengo, all of whom work for the former DSM Bakery Ingredients in Cerillas, Argentina. They are implementing plans to stop deforestation and promote the use of sources of renewable energy such as solar power.

Following the success of an earlier project to supply the village with solar cookers, the team has now taken their dream for Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes a step further. Lucas Rodriguez: “This Torch dream involves the development and manufacture of a solar-powered bread oven for everyone who received a solar cooker.”

Although DSM Bakery Ingredients is no longer officially part of our company, the dream has been fully implemented.
