Elasthane™ Thermoplastic Polyether-urethane (TPU)
Elasthane™ TPU is a high strength, aromatic biomedical polymer with an impressive combination of mechanical properties and biological compatibility. It was designed to add durability to devices requiring long-term implantation. Elasthane™ TPU exhibits outstanding hydrolytic stability and has also shown good thromboresistance when used as a smooth blood-contacting surface.
