The winner is...Geoff McCue
The winning design, an exercise suit with multi-functional resistance patches, was submitted by Geoff McCue from the US.
His design was triggered by the variable elasticity of Arnitel® Eco, as well as its ability to be shaped into different forms and colors, making it possible to give every resistance level a different color. The professional jury's main verdict was that Geoff McCue had submitted a solution that was elegant in its simplicity.
Francis Aussems, Chairman of the Jury, said: "We found Geoff's idea different from the other entries in 2 ways. First of all, Geoff focused on one of the main properties of Arnitel Eco and then took it one step further. The elasticity of Arnitel fibers was translated into additional training resistance during movement. Another differentiator was that Geoff focused on the use of equipment during training instead of during the contest. Altogether the solution is elegant in its simplicity. It is obvious that this will work."
