It is especially developed for both interior and exterior trim paints and stains. The NeoPac® PU480 is delivered at 42% solid content. High performance resins for topcoatsThe NeoPac® PU480 is an ideal DECOVERY™ solution for topcoats and stains, combining high gloss with the best durability performance. Its good properties for topcoats include its surface hardness, flexibility and water resistance. For example, for application on surfaces that are frequently touched or used, like window frames and doors in kitchens, the fat/oil resistance of the NeoPac® PU480 is far better than that of current waterborne acrylic and alkyd emulsions. NeoPac® PU480 has good adhesion to old alkyd paints, important for renovation purposes and it can be formulated in paints with a limited VOC content of just 50g/l. High performance resins for stainsAdditionally, the NeoPac® PU480, is an excellent resin for stains, because of its good resistance to scratches and humidity. The NeoPac® PU480 is a good waterborne alternative for a stain with performance similar to a solvent based product. Due to its toughness this resin has a very good impact and scratch resistance. This highly transparent system is one of our top performance products for its overall good balance between drying, lapping, open time, workability, early water resistance and its ability to repel water and dirt.
