What is healthy food?

A healthy balanced diet is about variety in moderation, low fat, plenty of fruit, vegetables and starchy foods such as wholemeal bread and wholegrain cereals. Protein-rich foods such as lean meat, fish, eggs and lentils and some dairy foods should also be part of your food choice. Finally, make sure the food you choose is safe and mind your calorie intake.

Healthy food shopping

Healthy eating begins with the food you buy. When you go shopping, pick a variety of foods and choose those that are low in saturated fat, salt, and sugar and high in fiber. Try to cut down on calories and sweets.

Low & light foods

There are currently many products on the market claiming to offer a weight management solution - just think of all the 'light' products that have entered the shelves.
