Optimization and trouble shooting through radioactive measurements

Call upon our radiation experts (from level 2 to level 5) for trouble shooting experiments that make use of radioactive sources and detectors. We can use gamma-transmission scanning to diagnose profiles of distillation and extraction columns. These diagnostic profiles provide insight into how the plate and packed columns are functioning.

Radioactive measurement can help you:

• Localize fouling or deposition of substances in pipework which restrict the passage of fluid
• Determine fouling thickness (in time) or layer thickness
• Determine gas or liquid hold up
• Determine the height of solids or liquids in the pipework or the densitiy of the medium
