Together with Edwin van Calker as their pilot, these athletes form the 2-men and 4-men bob team. At this moment they are preparing for what has to be the highlight of their careers: The Olympic Games of Vancouver 2010.
Last season the team achieved their best result ever in Königssee during the World Cup, they got to 4th place.
Both teams (2 and 4-men) participate in the Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010.
Edwin van Calker is 30 years old and has been a bobsleigh pilot for 6 years. After his junior period which he completed with a 5th place at the World Junior Championship in Annecy he was asked to join the Dutch National Bobsleigh team in 2001. Eventually he went to the Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002 as a brakeman. This was such a great experience that he decided to become a pilot himself. At first only in the 2-men bob, but later on also in the 4-men bobsleigh.
