LAFTI® Probiotics

The latest product that DSM has been developing in collaboration with NOC*NSF is LAFTI®. This contains probiotics: living bacteria that have a beneficial effect on the intestinal tract. LAFTI® should help the Olympic athletes to boost their natural resistance and maintain a well-balanced intestinal flora. The innovation is a response to concrete requests from Dutch athletes. Top athletes are often prone to develop intestinal complaints and a weakened immune system, particularly in extreme weather conditions such as in China. These physical complaints can have an adverse effect on their performance. ( Press release).
