Mascot Dutch Olympic Team

On 17 March 2008 the official mascot of the Dutch Olympic and Paralympic Team was presented during the European Swimming Championships in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. With this unique mascot NOC*NSF wants to raise the Olympic 'fever' among the public in the Netherlands, and create support for the athletes that will participate in the Beijing Summer Games. The official name of the mascotte, Tjemp, was selected from a large number of entries in a nationwide contest.
