See you in London
Monday, August 25. On Sunday evening, the Beijing Games came to a close as spectacular as the beginning. And as the curtain drew on the Summer Games, it was clear that China was the biggest winner with a record of 100 medals, including a staggering 51 gold. Now the world is already looking forward to the next Summer Games, in London. During the closing ceremony London Mayor Boris Johnson received the Olympic flag from IOC President Rogge. Johnson, who claims that table tennis is invented in Great Britain, proudly stated: ‘Ping pong comes home.’ So let’s see how the Brits will do 4 years from now. And while they are practicing, let’s focus on the Winter Games: Vancouver 2010.
