The DSM Sports Team

The DSM Sports Team brings DSM and Sports closer to our employees all over the world. DSM sponsors ambitious sportsmen and women that compete in Olympic and Paralympic sport disciplines.
Rob Meima, Program Manager Innovation and Sports explains the important role of the DSM Sports Team members. "Not just at the Olympics the athletes take center stage. They are the focal point of DSM’s Innovation and Sports program. As critical customers, they set high standards to the innovations of DSM in the field of health, nutrition and materials."

 Marleen Veldhuis, Swimming (Olympic Gold Medal Beijing 2008 4x100m Relay Freestyle, World Champion  4x100m Relay Freestyle 2009 and 2011, European Champion 2008 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 4x50m Relay Freestyle). 
    
 Sharon Walraven, Wheelchair tennis (Paralympic Silver Medal, Sydney 2000 Women’s Singles, Paralympic Gold Medal Beijing 2008, Women’s Doubles, Wimbledon Champion Women’s Doubles 2010, 2011, Roland Garros Champion Women’s Doubles 2011). 
    
 Dutch Women’s Rowing, heavyweight (5th place in Women’s 8 at World Rowing Championship 2011, 3rd place in Women’s 8 at World Cup Luzern 2011, 1st place in Women’s 8 at World Cup Munich 2011).

  • Sven and Kalle Coster (2008 Beijing Olympics: fourth place Sailing, 470 class Men)
  • Team USA Indoor & Beach Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s (2008 Beijing Olympics: 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal)
  • TeamNL (2010 Vancouver Olympics: Bob Sleigh)
  • Rens Blom (World Champion Pole Vault 2005, as of October 2010 national Pole Vault coach with the Dutch Athletics Union)
