Inlet elbows

Turbochargers generate high temperatures and pressure variations in the air flow as they increase engine and fuel efficiency. Components in the turbocharger system need to withstand high temperature and pressure extremes for the lifetime of the part. Stanyl® offers a lower cost alternative to metal with reliability in the critical temperature range for:

  • Intercooler end caps
  • Turbocharger elbows
  • Hot air ducts

Leakage and loss of pressure is the primary concern for manufacturers of turbo systems. The outstanding creep resistance of Stanyl ensures seal integrity even over many pressure cycles.

Material Solutions

  • Stanyl TW200F6 offers excellent fatigue performance, good weldability, and high peak temperature resistance that deliver a cost effective lighter weight part.
  • Stanyl Diablo OCD2100 delivers improved long term heat resistance at 230 °C with excellent welding performance.
