Automotive sensors

Stanyl® is a high performing replacement for previously machined metal, multi-part, automotive sensor components like transmission speed sensors and oil level sensors. Stanyl resists constant temperatures of 150 to 160°C for up to 5,000 hours and peak temperatures of 170 to 180°C even in combination with aggressive ATF oils. Stanyl High flow grades deliver good creep resistance to provide secure fixing and sealing of engine mounted automotive sensors.

Besides general temperature, mechanical, and chemical requirements, several specific requirements for sensors must be met including temperature cycle tests, vibration tests at various temperatures, and severe long term tests for tightness against ingress of air, oil, dust, and water at elevated pressures and temperatures.

Stanyl meets these requirements providing excellent dimensional stability for sensor true position while offering cost reductions due to part consolidation.
