Stanyl : the high temperature film/sheet option
Stanyl offers high peak temperature resistance for specialty applications. The
short term resistance of up to 275°C, is the highest of easily processable
film materials.
The high melting temperature and mechanical properties of Stanyl can be used
in film or extruded sheet.
-
to replace polyimide or metal sheet when PA66 or PET are no longer suitable
-
as a flexible circuit dielectric that can withstand typical solder conditions.
for overmolding with e.g. silicon rubber or other thermoplastics and higher
polarity contributes to better adhesion.
-
having excellent dimensional stability; planarity and dimensions better
retained than with other polyamides and PET, even in demanding processing
conditions, gives finished products with tighter tolerances.
An adaptive moisture barrier
Under dry conditions Stanyl films
have a high barrier to moisture. In wet conditions, the film opens up and
becomes very permeable. This property is dynamic and reversible.
