Arnite for EPS systems
This next-generation EPS system is based on our Arnite XT - a high performance polyethylene terephthalate (PET) thermoplastic that offers extremely good dimensional stability due to its low moisture absorption and a very low and constant coefficient of linear thermal expansion (CLTE) comparable to aluminium.
Arnite XT is unique in its ability to meet extremely narrow precision requirements consistently, across multiple batches. However, unlike aluminium, Arnite XT is injection moldable – which means improved cycle time and cost reduction for manufacturers thanks to more efficient processing.
Safe EPS systems
Most importantly for drivers, our Arnite XT solution for EPS systems is proven to be safe – meeting stringent safety requirements covering impact, strength and torque tests, to one-time misuse tests, to high temperature exposure and long-term durability.
This is based on a Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) system that covers safety in design, processing and the material itself across the entire value chain – from raw material to the finished part.
