Our family of advanced thermoplastics are ideal for various elements of the MCB: From enclosure, where a broad range of primary requirements is needed, ranging from flame-retardancy at the lowest wall thicknesses to improved tracking resistance and post-breaking retention of di-electric strength; to bobbin support which calls for high tensile strength; to the flanges, integrated or not, where the material’ability to contribute to the efficient and effective arc-cutting is key; to the switching mechanism itself – which requires low creep and friction as well as good dimensional stability.
From our tough, versatile Akulon® polyamide 6 to the ultra-heat-resisant Stanyl® (polyamide 46) and ForTii® (polyamide 4T) to our super flexible Arnitel® (copolyester elastomer), we offer customers compelling benefits.
Our products are halogen-free and greener than many current alternatives – a key consideration as carbon footprint becomes a bigger issue. They offer economic benefits through improved processing (through injection molding, for example) and reduced cycle time with lower production losses.
Our thermoplastics also enable you to design smarter MCBs with thinner walls. Plastic components are more compact and can be more easily integrated with other parts, thus simplifying the design process.
