Akulon® Ultraflow™ sets new seating standards

The high end Office Seating market demands quality surface finishes as well as durability for seat structure components. Polyamide is generally the preferred material because it produces aesthetically acceptable parts and has the flexibility and fatigue resistance required to pass the specified tests.

Akulon® Ultraflow™ has extremely high flow that allows injection pressures to be reduced and injection speeds increased. This gives a much greater resin richness on the surface, significantly improving the cosmetic appearance and can reduce cycle times by up to 30%. As Ultraflow™ has comparable properties to normal polyamides, seat parts can now be designed to the same performance standards but with greater end-user appearance acceptance.
