DSM Desotech, a world leader in the development of high-performance UV-curable materials, is pleased to announce the following recent appointments pertaining to its DSM Somos business: Mr. Jim Reitz, previously Business Director DSM Somos has been names Business Director UVention^™ for DSM Desotech.  In 2007, DSM Desotech formalized its innovation effort with the launch of the UVention^™ group dedicated to the formulation of specialty UV/EB curable coating solutions.  Mr. Reitz assumes direction of strategic and administrative business activity for this group, including two new businesses within the UVention^™ portfolio: UVolve^® Instant Floor Coatings (www.UVolveCoatings.com) and UVaCorr^® anti-corrosion coatings for tube and pipe applications (www.UVaCorr.com).

Ms. Michelle Brand succeeds Mr. Reitz as Business Director DSM Somos.  Assuming direction of strategic and administrative business activity for DSM Somos, Ms. Brand oversees all aspects of sales, marketing, research and development, product development and technical service.  Prior to her appointment at DSM Somos, she held the position of Global Key Account Manager for Ticona.  She holds an MBA from Northern Illinois University's College of Business.
