Bow strings with virtually no creep under extremely high loads can be created
by blending Dyneema® with Vectran. However, the resulting material does fray
after moderate use and is slower than a 100% Dyneema® string. For sinking
fishing lines, Dyneema® can be blended with other fibers, such as aramid or
polyester, to increase overall density.
Kite lines made with pure Dyneema® should be sleeved wherever they are knotted
to preserve their strength.
