Dyneema® UD provides excellent overt personal protection when incorporated
into garments in the form of inserts – armor plates inserted into garments.
These are appropriate for situations in which the level of threat is expected
to be high and additional protection is required.

Dyneema® UD inserts provide protection not only against handgun bullets, but
also against rifle bullets (NATO ball and AK47) and fragments. Full Dyneema®
UD inserts are unique in their capacity to stop such heavy rifle threats
without any additional protection.

Inserts made with Dyneema® UD are only half the weight of the alternative,
ceramic plates. Dyneema® UD inserts can be easily molded to fit the body. With
the addition of groin, neck and collar protection, even higher safety levels
can be achieved.
