DSM addresses sustainability in the agribusiness value chain at Oilseed & Grain Trade Summit 2014

Delft, NL, 02 Oct 2014 15:15 CEST

Hugh Welsh, president of DSM North America, will present at the upcoming Oilseed & Grain Trade Summit and be a panelist at the co-located Women in Agribusiness Summit. These summits will occur during the week of 6 October 2014 in New Orleans, La., at the Hyatt Regency.

Welsh will address the more than 600 industry stakeholders, which includes buyers and sellers in the oilseed, protein meal, vegetable oil and feed grain sectors.

In order to help provide solutions for addressing the pressing needs of supplying sufficient quantities of food to the growing global population, Welsh will present concrete steps that can be undertaken to create a more sustainable agribusiness chain. He will include examples of effective strategies used to transform waste into valuable product streams by those in the sector.

At the Women in Agribusiness Summit, Welsh will be a panelist on the session The Impact of Consumer Food Trends on the Agribusiness Supply Chain. The group will discuss the different types of agribusinesses impacted by these trends, how these businesses can ensure their products stay relevant, and when these trends become large enough to address operations.

In addition to DSM’s contribution to the Summit’s discussion panels, DSM will exhibit its Purifine® enzyme solutions at booth #705. Visitors are welcome to visit DSM’s stand to find out more about the latest oilseed processing technology. DSM’s Oils & Fats team is able to design and implement tailored refining solutions that enable you to create significantly more value with your oilseed operations.
