Delvotest T awarded AFNOR approval

Delft, NL, 28 Jun 2012 13:00 CEST

AFNOR, the French Association for Standardization has given its validation mark to Delvotest® T1 - DSM’s antibiotic milk testing solution. AFNOR is the independent, internationally recognized certification body and its approval formally assures European recognition to customers of the quality and reliability of Delvotest T.

Delvotest T is a reliable and cost-effective test to detect antibiotic residues in milk. Similar to DSM’s other broad spectrum tests, Delvotest T is able to detect all antibiotics in the MRL (Maximum Residue Level), but has a higher sensitivity for tetracycline and better compliance to the MRL level than most other tests available. Delvotest T can be applied on cow, sheep and goat’s milk with or without azidiol preservative and benefits from a clear colour coding system to eliminate the possibility of any incorrect readings.

Antibiotic residue tests have become an indispensable tool for farmers and dairies worldwide to guarantee the quality of their produce. With our Delvotest range we have played a vital role in reducing milk contamination, guaranteeing ongoing compliance to changing standards and protecting the all important reputations of dairy producers since 1974” adds Mylène Caussette, Marketing Manager Tests.

With over 30 years of experience, DSM has demonstrated to set the highest standards for antibiotic testing solutions. With its broad spectrum of products, including enzymes and cultures for tests and preservation, and its close relationship with farmers, dairies and milk control laboratories, DSM has in-depth understanding of each segment of the dairy market. The independent accreditation from the AFNOR Institute is further proof of DSM’s commitment to the highest product quality and reliability.
