First Armour at SOFEX Jordan showcases Dyneema® Force Multiplier Technology from DSM Dyneema
The new DP3/3+/L insert, weighing less than one kilo, sharply decreases the load carried by operational units while maintaining a high level of ballistic protection. Dyneema Force Multiplier Technology is a radical innovation based on Dyneema, the leading brand of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber. It enables customers to create very light armor solutions. The protective insert is manufactured by First Armour in Jordan, for high-end use in law enforcement and embassy guards in the region.

First Armour will soon start offering various types of body armor based on different high-performance grades of Dyneema.

First Armour’s new insert is made with Dyneema grade HB212, a UHMWPE fiber-based composite laminate for low weight hard armor applications that are created using Dyneema Force Multiplier Technology. The award-winning technology eliminates the traditional compromise between higher protection and lower weight. Products made with Dyneema Force Multiplier Technology are excellent for developing soft and hard ballistic protection applications such as vests, inserts and helmets. Depending on the threat level, Dyneema Force Multiplier Technology can reduce the weight of body armor by up to 30 percent without sacrificing ballistic protection, while enhancing comfort and agility with fewer layers of material and increased flexibility.
