The DSM Endurance backsheet has been awarded the world’s first integrated stress sequence accelerated aging certificate – from the industry’s leading third-party testing and certification organization, TÜV SÜD.
The certificate was awarded to our MP Sheet PF B10 and MP Sheet PF D15 weather-resistant Endurance backsheets and was presented to the DSM team at the 2020 SNEC event in Shanghai, China.
Our Endurance backsheet is the first – and so far the only – product to pass this incredibly tough material evaluation, which simulates natural conditions through a combination of damp heat aging, ultraviolet aging, high-and-low temperature cycle aging, and other sequences.

Chinese PV manufacturer Suntech and DSM have announced the further consolidation of their long-term strategic partnership after the two companies showcased a new module at the Suntech Global Summit 2019 featuring DSM materials.
The new Suntech modules were shown to deliver improved durability with less power loss than those featuring conventional backsheets; while also providing added protection against dust and sand.
The two companies now plan to work together on the further development of customized PV modules and joint brand promotion.
Our Anti-Soiling coating for PV modules in harsh, dry climates is proven to increase power gain by 3% versus uncoated glass (in flash tests). But there is more: Modules treated with this coating soil less quickly and are easier to clean. By reducing the soiling rate the modules can maintain their optimal performance for longer, while reducing the number of cleaning cycles, labor and consumables needed to clean solar installations. Of course, every PV park is unique, which is why we’ve launched an online calculation tool for project developers and PV park owners looking to increase performance and IRR.
