Elisabeth Hirschbichler is VP Strategy, Innovation and Marketing at DSM Food Specialties. In her role, she is responsible for driving forward and transforming our F&B business to deliver next-level, integrated solutions that optimize the taste, texture and nutritional value of foods and beverages – from strategy to innovation and market positioning.
Elisabeth has extensive experience in the food ingredients and chemicals sectors, gained via a number of industry and strategy consulting roles throughout her career. Before joining DSM, she was Associate Partner and a member of the Leadership team of the Chemicals Practice at McKinsey, focusing on strategy and merger management with multiple assignments across the globe, including North America and China. She previously held various leadership positions in economic and financial policy, including at the Austrian Federation of Industry as well as advisor to the Austrian Minister of Finance. She is passionate about truly understanding market trends, developing strategic and technological perspectives, capturing new opportunities and transforming organizations to deliver impact in a purposeful way.
Elisabeth holds a master’s degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Economics from the University of Graz, Austria.
