Arnite A is high-performance polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with an increasingly wide range of applications – from automotive to lighting. Thanks to its excellent mechanical performance, heat resistance and dimensional stability, Arnite A is perfect for metal replacement offering significant weight, carbon – and cost – reductions.
Our Arnite A PET outperforms PBT in both mechanical and heat performance while also offering better dimensional stability. Its toughness makes Arnite the ideal choice for demanding automotive applications like brake booster valve bodies, mirror brackets and lighting frames - where consistent performance over time is essential.
In automotive lighting, we offer special grades of Arnite for low outgassing applications (Arnite XL) as well as grades with extreme dimensional stability and accuracy.
Beyond automotive, Arnite A is increasingly used in electrical applications like low-voltage switchgears, bobbins, and lamp holders. Meanwhile, we offer special extrusion grades for stock shape applications, offering superb processing characteristics and excellent tribological properties; ideal for applications like gears and bushings.
Arnite A is a plastic. Despite being strong like metal, it doesn’t rust or break like metal. The material has a wide range of processing characteristics: It’s easy to mold, has good wear resistance, and very good color stability.
