We are introducing our first grade Novamid ID for 3D printing. Novamid ID is a high quality PA6 used in Automotive and Electronics for many years. A very ductile and strong polymer suitable for harsh environments (under the bonnet) and at high temperatures (150 degrees Celsius).

With this first step into the 3D market we experienced that this material can be used in a lot of applications. To improve  the printing quality of Novamid ID even further, we are curious to find out in which applications you have used Novamid ID and how it performed regarding printing behavior and material characteristics.

Novamid® ID 1030

With Novamid® material for Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), you can produce parts almost indistinguishable from those produced with standard injection molding.

This open source filament material is a pure polyamide 6/ 66, and was originally developed many years ago by our Engineering Plastics experts for demanding specialty applications often subjected to harsh environment and high temperatures (up to 125°C).

Optimized to 3D-print easily, Novamid® ID 1030 filaments bring a unique combination of properties, including outstanding stiffness and ductility, across a range of applications - from transportation, to sports and electronics. Their optimized crystallization profile improves fusion, enabling parts with excellent interlayer strength and high surface quality.

Novamid® ID 1030-CF10

3D printing grade, 10% Carbon Reinforced

Novamid® ID 1030-CF10 can 3D-print high-performance and durable structural end-use parts, making 3D printing technology a viable option for demanding automotive structural applications that require robust performance at elevated temperatures. With a carbon fiber loading of just 10%, Novamid® ID 1030-CF10 prints parts with properties close to what is usually achievable only by injection molding. It can be printed at the same speeds as unreinforced plastics, while achieving considerably better strength and toughness.

Novamid® ID 1070

Novamid® ID 1070 is a unique polyamide 6 filament originally developed as a specialty product to meet the demand for high-service levels in industries such as automotive and electronics.

Novamid® ID 1070 is a very ductile, strong polymer suitable for harsh environments and high temperatures, up to 150°C, offering excellent layer-to-layer adhesion, strength and toughness compared to other 3D printing materials.

Designed to fit your needs

Specialty Polyamides based on PA6, PA66, PA6/66 with grades that offer performances that go beyond the standard range. A wide variety of grade customizations are available to meet specific demands for heat, form, color and strength.
