Xytron offers extreme good chemical resistance,  dimensional stability, intrinsically flame retardancy, high stiffness up to Glass Transition Point (90 °C), Continuous Use Temperature (CUT) of 240-260 °C and a melting point of 280 °C. All outstanding properties contributing to an excellent performance for many different applications.
 
  • Thermal stability- continuous service temperature up to +240°C (reinforced grades), short term up to +260°C
  • High rigidity and strength
  • High hardness
  • Excellent creep resistance even at elevated temperatures
  • Very good surface quality
  • Very complex, high precision molding is achievable
  • High flow = thin walls appliccable
  • Coefficient of lin. thermal expansion » @ Aluminum (Steel)
  • No (very low) moisture absorption à Dimensional stability
  • Very good chemical resistance (chemicals, auto fluids)
  • Very good hydrolysis resistance
  • Inherently flame retardant (UL 94 V-0 (up to 5VA)
  • Limited-Oxigen-Index: LOI > 45 (GFMIN65)
  • High purity of linear PPS à No or less leaching (Worldwide DW and Food-Approvals) for Water Management, Hydrogen- Cells, AdBlue- Systems,…)
